Julia Mosley heralds from the heart of the English Staffordshire Countryside, a place that can change in mood and temperament in a flicker of a heartbeat. A land where Mother Nature seems to take gratification in practicing her craft before unleashing her fury or serenity upon a trembling world - an ever-growing creative force; not unlike Julia Mosley's compelling artistry.

Through the power of her songwriting, Julia's alchemy of Light and Dark evolves into living, breathing creations that celestially haunt and allure the listener; in the form of stellar compositions. Julia's psyche brings an oceanic, starlit tempest to her landlocked, lyrical and musical dream-fortress. Her multidimensional and magical world acts as a scenic symbolism for her musical characters to battle their inner turmoil.

On the stage, Julia's enchanting charisma and spontaneous nature unites with a reverent sense of lucidity, composure and sophistication ... invoking a seductive kind of storyteller's sorcery. A magic that extends to her unique, unforgettable melodies and heartfelt lyrics; occurring in such a way that sets her 'a millennia apart (from her) contemporaries' (Paul Oldfield).

At the age of just fifteen she won the ‘Staffordshire’s Pop Stars’ competition with an original composition called 'Slipping Away’ which later appeared on her debut, self-written and home-made album ‘Fairytale' (2010).

Her pursuit of a musical career started at Manchester Metropolitan University where she studied for a Popular Music Degree followed by a Masters' in Contemporary Arts. Whilst studying at University she composed and performed in two enchanting and thought-provoking Musical Theatre shows. In 2011 she formed a band who recorded an album featuring eight of Julia’s creatively written songs.

Julia later started her journey into recording as a solo artist, this led to the release of a debut EP of 'class and wonder' (Nick J. Townsend) titled ‘Once in a Blue Moon’ (2017). Following on from this, the ‘Julia Mosley Band' was formed; the uniting of this fellowship ignited the creation of the magnificent debut album 'Illuminate the Night' (2020).

"Julia Mosley Band is a wash of intense gothic poetry.  Its uniqueness arises from its genreless and ethereal darkness, and its passion for light.  It is a force of nature and a beauty of the Earth."  - Andrea Bloomfield, Chorister

"As is fast becoming the norm, it is difficult to compare Julia to any current musical style or genre. Her originality of voice and skill with melody set her a millennia  apart " - Paul Oldfield, Radio Presenter and Music Journalist
